Cultural events are about participation as much as programme – people gathering around ideas, art and shared experience.
I’ve photographed Pride celebrations, film festivals and screenings, artist talks and community-led events across the Midlands and beyond. Whether it’s a city street filled with colour or an intimate screening in a darkened hall, I work within live, shifting environments.
The focus isn’t always on a stage. It’s in conversations, reactions and fleeting gestures. I capture atmosphere as much as activity – documenting both scale and the human details that give an event its meaning.
Cultural photography demands awareness, sensitivity and pace. It’s about telling the story of a place and its people – honestly and with energy.
