Independent screening, heritage venue
Overview
Rows of chairs were set beneath the high ceiling of Moseley Baths before the lights dimmed. The December 2019 screening of Easy to Love transformed the historic swimming baths into an intimate cinema space, with projection and seating arranged within the tiled hall.
Photographing the event meant working in low, practical lighting while retaining the character of the venue. As a Birmingham-based event photographer, I focused on audience reaction, speaker introductions and the contrast between heritage architecture and contemporary screening setup.
The coverage reflects both the film presentation and the atmosphere of a community-led cultural event within a distinctive local space.
