Exhibition documentation, community artwork
Overview
Walls were filled salon-style with submissions from across the UK, reflecting the breadth of Grayson’s Art Club. The exhibition at Midlands Arts Centre brought together selected works from the Channel 4 series, presenting them within a structured gallery setting in Birmingham.
Photographing the exhibition meant focusing on layout, scale and viewer interaction. As a Birmingham-based cultural event photographer, I documented installation detail, the density of the hang and the way visitors engaged with individual pieces within the wider display.
The coverage reflects both the collective nature of the project and the atmosphere of a public exhibition rooted in participation.
