The stage wasn’t static,  it had levels, screens, and lighting that gave depth to photos rather than flat, homogenous visuals although shooting from the distance of the mixing desk obviously limited the variety in terms of angles as everyting was shot from the same level position.

I enjoy big, colourful productions and this one definitely had everything I would expect, dramatic outfits, dancers and stage props. Nicki worked the stage like a cinematographer designs a film scene, giving varied compositions and facial expressions that give each photo life.

The images were produced for editorial and live music coverage, documenting a major arena performance in the UK.
