Audiences moved between venues as screenings and live events unfolded across the city. Flatpack Festival 2019 combined film, performance and discussion, with activity spread through cinemas, galleries and unconventional spaces across Birmingham.

Photographing the festival meant adapting to different environments and lighting conditions throughout the programme. I focused on audience engagement, speaker interaction and the atmosphere within each venue, balancing stage moments with quieter in-between exchanges.

The coverage reflects a festival built on discovery and participation, shaped by both film and place.
