Skunk Anansie
Skunk Anansie
Raw stage presence, direct connection

Overview
Overview
Low front lighting and deep shadows set the tone before the first surge of sound. There was little distance between stage and crowd. Skin moved constantly along the front line, leaning into the barrier and locking eyes with the audience.
Photographing Skunk Anansie required staying alert to unpredictable movement and sudden shifts in pace. As a UK live music photographer, I worked close to the stage edge, focusing on expression and physicality rather than wide production shots.
The set felt immediate and unfiltered, driven as much by audience exchange as by volume.
