Shooting a KISS show isn’t just photographing a concert — it’s documenting a controlled explosion of theatre, fire, colour and spectacle. From the photo pit, it feels like standing at the edge of a comic-book apocalypse with a camera in your hands. They are a dream subject visually because their makeup is iconic and graphic. Every band member is instantly recognisable in silhouette. They also understand their visual impact — they pose, hold power stances, and play to cameras.  It's hard to take a bad KISS photo but it's also hard to take a photo of them that looks any different than thousands of KISS photos taken over the years because they are so rehearsed and don't stray from the script.
