I photographed the icon that is PJ Harvey during her The Hope Six Demolition Project tour at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester.

The show was visually striking not because of flashy effects, but mainly because of moody, purposeful lighting that framed PJ, dressed all in black with long, trailing sleeves, giving her a powerful, almost mythic silhouette. Together, these elements made the show feel less like a typical gig and more like an intimate piece of dark theatre — full of emotion and visually striking.
