Leftfield
Leftfield
Dark, immersive electronics

Overview
Overview
Leftfield photographed at the O2 Institute in 2015 during the tour in support of their album Alternative Light Source.
Minimalist staging, monochrome, glitch-heavy visual design, aggressive strobe lighting and meticulously engineered low-end sound were the order of the day.
Rather than colourful festival graphics, the aesthetic felt urban and dystopian — echoing the mood of tracks like Head and Shoulders or Universal Everything. At times, the screen was almost blinding white. At others, it dissolved into shadow and grainy abstraction. It felt cinematic but confrontational.
