AC/DC photographed at Wembley Stadium in 2015 during the Rock or Bust World Tour

Wembley show was a classic stadium rock production that balanced big visuals, iconic staging elements and pyrotechnics with raw, kinetic performance energy and massive crowd participation.  On assignment for Metal Hammer, I travelled from Birmingham and arrived at Wembley early to mingle with the crowd. It was hours before the band was due on stage but the anticipation and excitement among the fans was already palpable.

Photographing a band AC/DC this means working inside that force. From behind the camera I am always watching for structure within the chaos. The wide stance. The duck walk. The precise geometry of guitar necks crossing in silhouette. There is something almost architectural about their performance. It is loud, yes, but it is also disciplined. Every beat lands where it should.

The crowd becomes part of the composition. In concert photography, those collective moments matter as much as the headline figure. They show scale. They show impact.

This July 2015 show was a reminder that live music photography is often about endurance. Holding focus while the stage pulses. Waiting for the exact second when a leap, a shout or a strike of strings aligns with the light. AC/DC have built a career on consistency and power. My role is to find the frame where that power feels both immense and human.
