Photographing dance and theatre is about precision and presence. It is not chaos but control, timing and emotional nuance. I work with companies to capture performance at its most expressive, preserving the grace, tension and craft of live work.

I have photographed productions for Birmingham Royal Ballet, The State Ballet of Georgia and Ballet Jazz Montréal. From classic ballets like Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty to modern choreography and Cirque du Soleil productions including Corteo, Luzia and Ovo, I document performance with patience and instinct.

Theatre allows no second chances. You anticipate the lift, the breath, the fall of light. My work balances documentary honesty with an understanding of how images will live beyond the stage – in press, programmes and campaign materials.
