The February 2025 shoots for Cinderella by Birmingham Royal Ballet took me to Southampton and then back to Birmingham.

Photographing dance is all about anticipation rather than reaction. Every jump, turn, and partnered lift has a peak moment, and photographer's job is to catch those fleeting points of extension. From sweeping full-stage compositions to intimate close-ups of expression and gesture, every shot aimed to convey both the discipline of rehearsal and the theatrical elegance of the final performance.

The resulting images aren’t just documentation—they’re a study of movement, precision, and the fleeting magic that makes ballet live on stage.
