A wash of neon pink and blue filled the stage before the first synth line carried across the room. The production leaned into bold colour and clean choreography, creating defined layers between band, backing performers and lead vocal. Years & Years held a tight structure, with movement timed closely to lighting cues.

Photographing this 2018 date meant working through saturated colour and fast transitions. As a UK live music photographer, I focused on symmetry, gesture and the brief pauses where Olly Alexander stepped forward from formation into direct audience exchange.

The set was polished but controlled, driven by rhythm and lighting as much as by melody.
