Low front lighting and tight stage spacing set the tone before the first chorus lifted. The venue felt compact, with little separation between barrier and stage. Tonight Alive moved with urgency, using the limited space to keep the focus forward and immediate.

Photographing this 2018 date meant staying responsive to constant movement and quick lighting changes. As a UK live music photographer, I focused on expression at the stage edge, working between full-band moments and tighter frames of Jenna McDougall during vocal peaks.

The atmosphere was direct and personal, shaped by proximity as much as by volume.
