A stark white beam cut through haze before colour flooded the stage in waves. The production shifted quickly between minimal, almost empty frames and saturated bursts of light. Yeah Yeah Yeahs used that contrast deliberately, with Karen O moving from stillness to sudden, expansive gesture.

Photographing this 2022 date meant watching the light as closely as the movement. As a UK live music photographer, I focused on timing between sharp lighting transitions and moments of expression at the front of the stage.

The set felt deliberate and textured, balancing restraint with sudden release across the performance.
