I have nothing but respect and admiration for Gary Numan. While I wasn’t around when he first emerged on the scene, I knew his early hits and began exploring his music more in 2017 with the release of Splinter (Songs from a Broken Mind). Since then, I’ve photographed him live onstage at least once every year.

He is undoubtedly one of the hardest-working musicians in the industry. His shows are consistently full of energy, and he always gives everything on stage. Most nights, after shooting the first three songs, I usually rush home to edit and file the photos, rarely staying to watch the full set—but with Gary, I almost always make an exception.
