Hot pink light flooded the stage before the first drop hit. The aesthetic was deliberate and unapologetic, with bold visuals, fast cuts and sudden shifts in tempo. Scene Queen moved through the set with sharp intent, alternating between confrontational stillness and sudden bursts of movement.

Lighting cues were aggressive and often strobe-led, leaving little margin for hesitation. Working in the pit as a UK live music photographer, I focused on clean framing during those split seconds where expression cut through the colour wash.

The performance leaned into excess by design, but the structure behind it was tightly controlled from start to finish.
