Bright afternoon light gave way to heavier evening production as stages ran back to back. Slam Dunk South 2023 was concentrated into a single day, with multiple stages operating simultaneously and tight changeovers keeping momentum constant. The atmosphere remained compact and direct throughout.

Photographing the event meant moving quickly between outdoor and tented stages, adjusting to fast lighting shifts and dense pit access. As a UK festival photographer, I balanced full-stage frames with tighter performance detail, while also documenting crowd movement across the site.

The energy was sustained from first set to final headline slot, driven by pace and proximity rather than scale alone.
