In February 2023, I followed Gojira on three UK dates in Manchester (20.02.23), Nottingham (22.02.23) and London (23.02.23).

I've always loved Gojira's understated aesthetic and I appreciate the thought and effort that goes in their staging and lighting design. They know how to blend crushing sound with immersive visuals, lighting, and effects to create a powerful live environment. While their core aesthetic stays heavy and intense, the visuals are artistic, atmospheric, and thematic. They are also not averse to pyros which are always fun to capture.

I enjoyed the opportunity to photograph them more than once, each time discovering new things I haven't noticed previously.
