In 2022, I was commissioned by PRG UK as a photographer to document Wireless Festival in Birmingham. My brief encompassed capturing both the behind-the-scenes operations and the live performances, providing a comprehensive visual record of the event.

Over the course of the two-day festival, I focused on documenting the crew at work, particularly during the setup and preparation of the main stage, highlighting the intricate staging process and the technical expertise involved. This included detailed shots of rigging, truss structures, lighting rigs, LED screens and other stage elements, emphasizing the scale and precision of the production.

In addition to behind-the-scenes coverage, I photographed headline performances, including J. Cole and Cardi B, with an emphasis on capturing the stage design, visual impact, and lighting design. The goal was to illustrate how the combination of dynamic stage layouts, complex lighting sequences, and multimedia elements contributed to the overall festival experience.

Through my photography, I aimed to balance technical detail with artistic composition, showcasing both the craftsmanship behind the staging and the energy of the performances, providing PRG UK with a visual narrative that highlighted the festival’s technical sophistication and live impact.
