Motorpoint Arena, Nottingham

Overview
Overview
The Rock Orchestra photographed at at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham in 2025.
I was commissioned by Dynamite FX to document the special effects deployment for this show, capturing both the technical execution and the visual impact of the effects within the live performance environment. The objective was to produce imagery that demonstrates how the effects integrate with the overall stage production — including lighting design, performer movement, and stage architecture — while clearly showcasing the scale, timing, and intensity of the effects systems used during the performance. For this production, the effects package included high-pressure CO₂ and cryogenic jet systems designed to produce dense, rapidly expanding plumes that create dramatic vertical columns of vapor synchronized with musical cues. Pyrotechnic elements provided controlled bursts of sparks and flame effects, engineered to operate safely within an indoor arena environment while maintaining high visual impact for both the live audience and camera.
The goal was to create a set of images that not only highlight the technical quality of the effects systems but also communicate how they enhance the energy and spectacle of the live performance.
